The Medigap open enrollment period is up to 6 months after your Medicare [1] Part B effective date.  During your Medigap open enrollment period, your medical history will not impact your eligibility.  

Thre is also a Guaranteed Issued Period for certain plans if you apply for a Medicare [1] Supplement plan within 2 months after losing group credible coverage.   This does not include COBRA.
